DATE: Saturday, June 16, 2007
TIME: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Eastern Time)
PLACE: Outside the offices of Senators Lugar and Bayh
10 West Market Street (near Monument Circle)
Indianapolis, IN
WHY: to deliver "pink slips" to our Senators for their betrayal of America with S. 1348 and to express outrage over our government's refusal to protect us.
This rally is Indiana's contribution to the March for America. (Additional information is posted separately on the Calendar of Events.)
We will rally outside the offices of Senators Bayh and Lugar to protest the Senate's betrayal of America through S.1348, the Grand Deception, not the Grand Compromise! This bill does the opposite of what our senators say. It will not secure our borders and it gives amnesty to millions of illegals. It will make matters much worse than the status quo. It will lead to even more illegal immigration and impose even greater burdens on law-abiding, tax-paying Americans.
So, bring your American flags, bring your friends and family.
Conduct: You must not block the sidewalk or doorways to offices in the area. Spread out around the corner or down to Monument Circle, if the crowd gets too big. Obey all laws and show respect for others. You might be called names, but do not respond in kind. Questions and interviews should be directed to Tina Preston, Greg Serbon or Cheree Calabro. IFIRE must pre-approve any flyers or handouts.
Bring signs:
I-FIRE Lugar and Bayh!
Today we March--Tomorrow we vote!!
Forget illegals! Deport Lugar and Bayh!
Honk to Stop Amnesty!
Secure Borders Now!
Adopt Mexico's Immigration Law
The pink slips are available for download at www.MinutemanMidwest.com under the NEWS column. We will bring them to the rally for you to sign.
